Blackened Chicken Recipe

Blackened chicken is quick and easy to make at home. Adjust the spices in this recipe to suit your taste. This is great on a summer's day with fresh corn and mashed potatoes.

What is Blackened Chicken

Blackened chicken is a flavorful dish made by coating chicken (usually boneless breasts or thighs) with a mix of spices—called blackening seasoning—and then cooking it in a hot skillet or grill until the outside forms a dark, almost charred crust

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  •  teaspoon onion powder
  •  teaspoon ground white pepper
  •  teaspoon salt
  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • cooking spray

Directions

1.Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
