Effortless One-Pot Spaghetti

A Flavor-Packed Weeknight Winner

Looking for a comforting dinner that’s both effortless and satisfying? This one‑pot spaghetti delivers big flavor with zero fuss—just one pot, simple ingredients, and a meal on the table in under 30 minutes.

  • Ingredients (Serves 4)

    • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or Italian sausage

    • 1 small onion, chopped

    • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced

    • 1 (24 oz / 680 g) jar tomato pasta sauce

    • 2 cups (480 ml) water or broth

    • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

    • 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti noodles, broken in half

    • Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)

    Directions

    1. Cook the meat and aromatics
In a deep, wide pot over medium heat, cook the beef or sausage with onion and garlic until browned and aromatic—5 to 8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

    2. Simmer with sauce and liquids
Stir in tomato sauce, water or broth, and Italian seasoning.

    3. Add pasta and finish cooking
Add the broken spaghetti. Keep it at a gentle boil, stirring often, for 17–20 minutes until the noodles are tender, and the sauce has thickened.

    4. Serve and enjoy
Dish it up and top with freshly grated Parmesan, if desired.

Pro Tips for Perfect One-Pot Spaghetti

    • Use the 1:2 pasta-to-liquid ratio: for every 4 oz pasta, add 8 oz liquid—adjust as needed during cooking.

    • Ensure frequent stirring once pasta is added to prevent sticking.

    • Feel free to swap in sausages, mushrooms, spinach, or your favorite veggies.

    • Leftovers reheat well—add a splash of water if the sauce thickens too much.
